Believe it or not this precious angel is between 8 and 10yrs.old. NBR came to her rescue when a shelter in upstate NY was ready to give up on her.

There is no question that Raina was part of a family at one time. She is totally house broken, will not get on the furniture without an invite, and has no bad habits. Unfortunately the trade off was producing litter after litter until she reached an age that her owners could no longer turn a profit. So there she sat on death row. 

This 35lb. peanut shows her love and gratitude the second she meets you with snorts and grunts and lots of wiggles. Don't let her age fool you. She is the only Boxer in my home that can jump my 38" baby gate with ease, and is always ready for a tumble, rolling on her back wiggling about as if she was a 3yr. old on a playground. Raina comes to the office with me everyday and is a perfect lady. She likes to visit everyone's desk and back to mine for a nap.

Now for the bad news...
Raina is blind in one eye, and sees very little out of the other. ( She gets around so well I didn't even realize it before the doctor told me) She has very few teeth and what she does have left are ground down to almost nothing. She has also tested positive for heart worm. This was a real concern of mine because of her age but the Vet. feels she is healthy enough to undergo the treatment.

Raina is now in desperate need of a forever home that can provide the following... A quiet place to rest while going through her treatment. Someone who loves walks, for she is sooooo gentle on lead and would do fine with an elderly or disabled person. And she must be allowed to cuddle in bed with her new Mom or Dad for it is the only thing she asks for. Please click on her picture and look into these angels eyes.
