In
Memory: Sam
In memory of Sam, who taught me about unconditional love, compassion, and acceptance. God blessed me with you, and now he is blessed with your presence.
Your loving family,
Billy, Max and Mitch
Sammy was, and still
is in my mind and heart, a loving member of our family (Max, the Alpha Cat, Bill
W., the 9 year old male boxer dude, and Mitch, the dad.)
Sammy came to us in dire need of a home from New York East Boxer Rescue. He had
been a member of another family for 10 years, and when he was diagnosed with
cancer of the pancreas, his owners gave him up to rescue, not wanting to deal
with the disease. He came here for an interview, Bill my other boxer realized
he needed our home, and said "come on in and take it easy."
Dr. Kross said that he probably would only last a few months, four at the most, and God bless him, Sammy was a very loving happy boy with us for almost two years until he died the last week in March, 2002.
Max and Bill have
mourned terribly, and Max, the very stand off cat, has decided to take Sam's
place, it seems, and is very overtly affectionate now with Bill and I both. Sam
must have been a great teacher. He certainly taught me a lot......
unconditional love, patience, and compassion. He is sorely missed and greatly
loved.
Sammy loved to snuggle with his
brother Bill (who has natural ears).
