"MOLLY"
This dog has been adopted
but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new
home. Should
the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved
to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
Molly is an unspayed female, about three years old. She is
good on lead, but
can pull when she wants to go out. She knows sit and heel, to some degree.
She doesn't get down at all. She has been interested in my two dogs, but only
in a social way. She is a bit hand shy and reacts to a strong NO! Generally
she seems to have a very nice temperament. I have yet to hear her bark. She
responds well to her name, come command and seems to get the idea of getting
into a car and such. She will be spayed before going out to be adopted.

Update: 5/22/00 Here is an
update on Molly from her foster home:
"She is a real sweetie, but definitely the Alpha! She will push Aelish out
of
the way to get what she wants, no fights just intimidation! She went into the
crate (that I finally found last night about 9pm!) without a hassle, went
back in when we went to visit friends. So far she wants to love on you, but
doesn't play outside. I have had her off leach, she comes immediately on
recall, and stops when her name is called. She knows sit, but apparently was
never taught down. "In" for the crate works well, reluctant, but well.
She is very sweet, but dominant. She loves to be close to a person, very good
with commands and "good dog" makes her whole body wiggle! She loves to
have
face scrunches - I think she even makes the atoms in her body wiggle for
those. She will kiss, but is not wild with them, she will jump up, but only
after some playing. Doesn't seem to get excited easily, but then I'm watching
her like a hawk. I have yet to hear a bark, I have heard a whine, when we
left for friends; and I've heard a couple of woo-woos when I was playing tug
of war with Aelish. Right now she is camped behind my chair - Betsy says all
the animals love me best.
As expected, she is drinking lots of water, eating lots of food. I am feeding
her the California Natural from the people who make Innova (five ingredients
for Aelish's apparent food allergy). Naturally she has *nasty* gas from it!"
