- 8/6/01 - Abby is the sweetest
most well behaved boxer we have had come through rescue. She is a little lady.
She is wonderful with kids of all ages especially the little ones. Don't let
her deafness turn you off. She cant help it and it doesn't stop her from being
the most loving boxer ever. Through no fault of her own she is coming back to
rescue. The home that adopted her felt guilty leaving her home during the day.
Abby didn't mind, she is very sad over this. We are devastated for her-
- 7/7/01 - Abby has been with
us for over a month now. She remains buddies with my male & female boxer.
She is very affectionate with my young children, and with my husband and I.
She is a petite princess with excellent manners and we have continued to work
on her hand commands. She is eating well and is clean in the house. She is
kept in an extra large crate during a portion of the day, in which she is
clean in as well. She initially barks for a few minutes then settles down and
sleeps. Abby must have a new family with a fenced in yard, as she hears
nothing, and cannot obey verbal commands. She has become very attached to me
and follows me everywhere. She does like to have all of my attention, but with
some guidance, she is learning to allow my male and female to get attention
also. Abby will make a wonderful pet for the right family. She has all the
awesome Boxer qualities, even without her hearing.
- 5/25/01 - Here is Abby, 4yr
old deaf white female. She is great with other dogs and must go with a fence
or to the city where she would never be off leash. Abby is very sweet once she
gets over her initial shyness. She also has blue eyes which is hard to tell
from her pictures! Abby was hrs from being euthanized in a Pa shelter. Please
