07/23/03 - Lucky. (NY) passed on Wed. 23rd.

To her you're always smart and fair
She's sure that you're a god
Whose wagging tail relieves each care
It's just my friend, my dog.

No strings attached to faithfulness
Demands by her are few
No value put on your success
She asks but love from you.

She has a soul of that I'm sure
To heaven which must wend
With others loved, for ever more
To live, my dog my friend.

My little Lucky,
You were in my life for such a short time,
You will be in my heart forever.
I will love you always
Mommy

07/17/03 -

Lucky’s foster mom has been given some very bad news.
Lucky has been diagnosed with bone cancer.
It is inoperable and she will remain with her foster family for the rest of her days.
Your prayers and thoughts for Lucky would be greatly appreciated.

05/28/03 - New Pics!

This tiny little girl has proven to be a real doll.  She is such a mush, with just so many kisses to give.  She loves her night shirt and her new dolls.  She really needs someone that can offer her stability and allot of attention. She is clearly heartbroken and very confused as to why she is with strangers and not the children she grew up with. We are working on Lucky's separation anxiety so she will be secure enough to trust that she will not be abandoned again.

04/24/03 -

Meet Lucky, she is a 7 year old fawn female. Her family contacted us yesterday as they had moved and were unable to take Lucky with them, they were going to surrender her to a kill shelter but found out about Boxer Rescue just in time.

She will be going to the vet today to be spayed and brought up to date on shots, heartworm tested also.

The family has had Lucky all her life, she has grown up with three children and a cat, she also likes other dogs. Lucky may be 7 yrs. old but acts like a 3 year old. Lucky was never crated, allowed free run of house and 100% housebroken.

Please give this great girl another chance at having her own family again.
