Forrest is a two year old male Basset Hound he weighs forty five pounds is great with kids dogs and cats.  He is housebroken and a real love bug. 

This is what we have discovered about Forrest: Forrest loves everyone, including my big boxer boy who just wants to harass him into playing. He loves my kids, cookies and being outside. Forrest is better than the average Bassett as his ears don't drag on the ground and his feet are a bit smaller. He does an awesome dance on his back feet that he will perform for treats and just for fun! This is one happy dog (I have no idea what his life was like before, but he has certainly weathered the storm). He has lots of energy and loves to explore. He can clear a three foot baby gate with grace. 

He could use some manners, but he understands "no". He pulls on a leash but listens to a firm voice. He is certainly a love and the transport drivers all fell for him like a ton of bricks. He likes being close to people, he loves other dogs, I don't have a cat so I can't kitty-test him. 

Forrest is a very well adjusted dog. He went into his crate last night, cried for about 20 minutes, settled down and didn't make a peep even when my husband left for work at 5:00AM. He has no food aggression around people or other dogs that are butting in on his meal. He shows no signs of stress at all; I am amazed. He has perfect freckles on his cute face - Forrest is just a wonderful guy. He won't be here long-get your apps in!
