Mikey is still in the kennel waiting for someone to help him. He is doing well with everyone who comes to take their dogs home. They stop and say hello and Jim will even take him out to greet some of them.

He goes for his walk everyday and is a dog waiting for his chance. Please consider this special dog. We have not gotten a single email on him. How sad.

09/04/03 - Mikey 

Mikey is a 5yr old male boxer mix that was brought into an NYC shelter to be euthanized for being too old. He is not too old and has lots of love to give.

Mikey is neutered and up to date on shots. He needs a foster, he is in our kennel that a home of ours owns and they are working on him everyday. He needs to have a home that is quiet without kids. He needs a home that will let him slowly adjust to indoor living. He gets nervous when being in the home and feels most comfy in the kennel, how sad is that. 

He has had a terrible life by what we can see. He can be hand shy but in the time that our volunteers have had him he has made incredible strides and loves Jim and Gail. He needs time to trust and learn he will be OK. If you have a special home for him please help us help him. Mikey deserves a great home.
