12/06/03 - BISCUIT

Biscuit is doing really well here, she seems to like the other residents, dogs and kids alike. She went to the local dermatologist vet and he said she is progressing nicely. The ivermectin seems to be working well although a little slow. She is growing some new hair and not quite so itchy.

Biscuit is a cuddle bug and loves nothing more than to climb in your lap and snuggle. She will cuddle up to my boxer girl on the couch, Mariah is not sure just how to take that yet. I think she is sure she is up to something and she is a little leery of the way she looks. Biscuit needs to put on a few pounds but luckily she is a good eater and is enjoying several cups of food at each meal. She is eating so well I think because she is running in the yard playing fetch each day. We have discovered that is a favorite game of hers. I think she is feeling better everyday. I'll send pictures soon so you can watch this girl work her way back to health.

11/0403 - Biscuit

Biscuits family was not very nice to her. They moved away and left this poor dog in the fenced yard to fend for her shelf. The only way she survived was by the neighbors who threw her food over the fence for weeks.  A local woman took her in and contacted our rescue. Because of the stress of being abandoned this poor dog lost her fur around her face. Now that she is getting the proper medical care the vet believes everything should grow back fine. Biscuit is about two years old  and weighs seventy five pounds. She is good with other dogs but since we do not know her past history around children she must go to a home with kids twelve and older. She loves her crate and is very happy sleeping  in it at  night. She loves chew toys and walks excellent on a leash. Whoever adopts her must commit to obedience classes .Even though her family left her this girl still is amazing. She loves everyone she meets. The staff at our vet hospital fell in love with her sweet nature and her generous amount of kisses. She loves riding in the car and will lay her head in your lap while you drive. Biscuit deserves a loving home after having such a bad beginning with a family that has no right to ever own an animal.
