10/26/04 Wrinkles has been transferred to the Home For Life Sanctuary. After many months of trying to help Wrinkles medically the doctors who were caring for him came to the realization that he would always consume lots of water (and urinate constantly). We could not find a home willing to cope with his condition. The sanctuary provides lifetime care for special needs dogs and cats.
3/20/04 - Wrinkles - PLEASE Help Wrinkles! WRINKLES is the sweetest 8-10 year old neutered male Boxer who came to us as a stray. This poor older Boxer was wandering busy city streets until he finally befriended a kind person who rescued him from the cold. Wrinkles has been undergoing tests and treatment at a veterinary hospital for the last month and a half trying to determine the reason why he drinks large quantities of water and therefore urinates excessively. No conclusive resolution has been found. The veterinarians at the hospital have tried all the conventional therapies after going through many diagnostic tests. Wrinkles progress has been slow, and he has only improved about 25-30%. The veterinarians believe Wrinkles will make better progress in a home environment. There will probably not be a 100% cure for him but we feel that Wrinkles will make a wonderful companion for the right person or family. Wrinkles is a very sweet and loveable Boxer who has a lot of energy! He loves to play and he gives an abundance of kisses! He is looking for a foster or permanent home where he will have constant access to a large yard with a high fence that would prevent him from escaping. While Wrinkles has been at the hospital the staff has him interacting with several of their house dogs over 50 lbs, and needless to say he has fit right in like one of the guys. The cats don't seem to bother him either. Wrinkles is just sooooo happy that nothing seems to phase him. Wrinkles deserves to have a kind guardian that will give him love and care for his remaining years. PLEASE open your heart and home to this truly wonderful senior gentleman.
