- Abby Abby is a beautiful brindle female, we're guessing 1 year to 18 months old, who was abandoned in front of a Manhattan pet store. Something very traumatic must have been going on in her family's life -perhaps they were being evicted from their home- for them to give up such a lovely creature. They clearly took good care of her. Abby is very affectionate and incredibly well mannered, especially considering what she has been through. Her nickname is "Bean" because she does a perfect Boxer kidney-bean dance. She is a dream on the leash and knows "Sit." She loves other dogs and people, and loves to give big hugs. A friend just came over for brunch, and Abby even won over this friend, who is not a dog person at all. Abby does get a little anxious at being left alone, quite understandably, and we will be watching to see how she does as she gets used to a little bit of stability. But she will probably be happiest with a family where people are around a lot for her to love. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first. Then e-mail the contacts below. Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message. |
