Ali After living for a year in what we had hoped would be his forever home, Ali is being returned to rescue. The poor guy; he must feel as though he’s done something wrong, and he is not to blame. Since he was adopted, we received glowing reports telling us how well he was doing. Then, in September, we got an urgent email, telling us that due to a change in his dad’s work schedule, and since his “at-home mom” was now working full-time, he had to find a new home with a family who could spend more time with him. A day later, we got another email telling us they were too fond of him, changed their minds, and would do everything in their power to keep him. A week ago, I got an email telling me Ali would have to find a new home again; due to lack of time and the fact their daughter is now allergic to him. So it’s time for a change. Ali loves kids and people, got along great with the kitten who was brought in to live with him, and didn’t hurt the guinea pig that lived there. He’s a great dog who loves to be with people, but does not do well when left alone for long periods of time. Ali has colitis, which is kept under control with diet and supplemental antibiotic powder, but this can be aggravated when he is left alone for hours and cannot get out to go the bathroom. He is crate-trained, and if this is used for short time periods, this will not be a problem for him. If you have a short work schedule, or are at home during the day (and plan to stay that way!) please contact us regarding this wonderful dog. He is the perfect companion, loves car rides, is well mannered, up to date on shots, neutered and knows “sit, off, go lay down and come here.” If yours is the perfect home for this great guy, please contact us! If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first. Then e-mail the contact below. Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message. |
