Ellie is a 5 year old deaf white female, that was surrendered to Boxer Rescue.

Another Boxer in the household died due to illness, and Ellie's lifetime caretaker decided she did not want to keep Ellie after the other Boxer was gone. Ellie has been doing well in her foster home until recently. The resident female Boxer in the house is having a personality clash with Ellie and we will need to move her as soon as possible. If we do not find a permanent or foster home for her shortly we will sadly have to move Ellie to a boarding kennel.

Ellie's deafness does not keep her terrific personality from shining through. She is very affectionate and entertaining. She loves to play with tennis balls, loves to run in the yard, and loves her walks with her foster siblings. She goes to work with her foster Mom every day and enjoys meeting new people. She loves to lie in the sun, snuggle on the couch, go for long walks at lunch time, and sleep next to her foster Dad.

Ellie lived with a child in her previous home, appears to love kids, and spends time with 3 children ages 8-13 on weekends. She is currently being fostered with 3 other boxers. However, we would prefer to place her as an only dog or with a submissive male since she is having trouble with the resident female Boxer. Ellie is crate trained, but isn't crated often at her foster home. Many times she chooses to lay in one of the crates with the door open.

Ellie deserves a wonderful home that will appreciate her wonderful spirit. Ellie is a very happy girl, who is always smiling. Won't you consider opening your heart and home to this lovely girl? If you are not interested in adopting, please consider fostering. Ellie will be very unhappy if we need to move her to a kennel, and we are hoping that is not our only choice.
