Lenox is a very special puppy who has gained many friends in the last few weeks. We first heard about his story through an email plea asking to help a Boxer puppy in Virginia. Lenox and 4 of his litter mates were put into a bag and tossed along the side of the road like a pile of trash. Sadly, by the time they were found, Lenox was the only puppy still alive. The person who found Lenox brought him to a shelter in VA, where he was isolated and then taken to a veterinary office. There was a recent outbreak of the parvo virus at that shelter, and Lenox was separated so he would be safe.

Although VA is not in our usual rescue area, we felt compelled to help this puppy if we were needed. We sent an offer of assistance stating we would step in to help Lenox if no other closer rescue was able to take him. After much planning to arrange for his transport, sweet little Lenox was on his way to one of our foster homes in NY. The trip spanned two days, and took many volunteers to get him to us, but everyone agrees that Lenox deserves nothing less.

Lenox is estimated to be approximately 8 weeks old and, although we first thought that he may be partially Boxer, we are not certain of his heritage. Some people have said he looks like a Boxer mix, others have thought Sheltie or Beagle mix. Whatever his background, he is 100% WONDERFUL!!! Lenox has been neutered, is up to date with his inoculations, and has become a happy robust puppy. He has already learned to sit, is doing great with his housetraining, and sleeps through the night. Lenox is outgoing, incredibly charming, and cute as he can be.

Lenox had a sad start in life until he was found, and we will entertain nothing less than the perfect home for this lucky puppy. Please contact us if you are willing to provide a forever home and can shower Lenox with undivided love, affection, and care.
