I am a 1 1/2 year old male white boxer weighing 75+ lbs, am neutered and up to date with all my shots. My parents will be upset to lose me, but I grew much bigger then they anticipated. I am very affectionate and friendly, house trained and stay in the crate while my parents work. I love my fenced in yard and play with Frisbees and tennis balls. Car rides and walks make my day. If my parents forget, I go get my leash out of my bag and bring it to them. They tell me I’m a pretty smart guy. When we go up and down steps I’m trained to be on the right side of the person.

As a typical Boxer, I sometimes get all caught up and hyper when out in the yard and open spaces. Sometimes I don’t want to be caught and will run and bark loudly daring to be caught and play “Catch me if you can.” I can also get too hyper and verbal at times, especially when demanding attention. When any of this happens, I either go on the leash or in the crate until I calm down and I will need someone who knows how to calm me down. Although excellent with children, I tend to over power them because I can be rough when I play. Therefore, I can’t go to a home with small kids – even though I like them.

I like lots of attention and may just be bored. This may be resolved by having another dog as a playmate. Although I have no dog house mates, I get along great with other dogs when I go for a walk or visit each other. My mom has a cat and we get along okay.

I would love a home that can give me lots of activity and attention, a yard and other to play with. I am a lovable boy who needs a forever home. Please contact the rescue and tell them you are interested in giving me a great home.
