Bruno is doing very well learning how to be a well-mannered pup. In two short weeks, he has learned come, sit, stay, and shake. Being a large, exuberant 13 month old puppy, he still has a little problem knowing how to say hello - he wants to jump up and give lots of kisses, which is a bit overwhelming considering his size - so we're working very hard on that. Bruno loves everyone, human and dog, male and female. He has shown absolutely no temper, ever, and in spite of his large size, appears to be submissive when another dog tells him they've had enough playtime. He is housebroken. Bruno is left uncrated throughout the workday and is fine - but needs the companionship of another dog. His perfect home will be one with another young, playful dog, this guy's got energy to spare. Older kids would be great (young ones may be knocked over by him). And, Bruno must have an area for daily exercise to run off those puppy energy bursts. Bruno is also a big love-bug. He will not let you be alone on your couch or in your bed - he loves to snuggle with you. If you have a lot of space, another dog, and are looking for a high energy companion, Bruno is your boy. 02/20/03 - Lord is back in rescue. His name is now Bruno. We adopted him to a family back in October. He was then 9 months and a typical boxer puppy. He is now a handsome large one year old who was not taught how to behave. The family returned him because he wont listen but they did no training at all. He is housebroken but is a true wild teenager. We have Bruno/Lord in a boxer savvy foster home. She is not letting him get away with any bad behavior and has seen a difference in only one day. We are looking for a home with a yard and maybe an energetic female (dog) for him to play with. No cats please. We will try to update his pictures soon as he is now a larger more filled out fellow.
We have no history but I feel comfortable with placing him with children (not toddlers because he is high energy). Lord is 54 pounds but is very thin. He traveled in a van with another dog and loved the company so a home with another dog is fine. Lord has not been introduced to any cats and we don't know what his reaction would be. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first. Then e-mail the contact below. Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and area code in the subject line of your message. |
