Orphan Annie Annie was picked up as a stray, so we don't know a lot about her background. What we do know is that she's super-friendly and loves to have her belly rubbed! This is a dear, sweet girl, and about as undernourished as you can get. Her pictures don't show it, because the brindle stripes hide her protruding ribs. We were told by the woman who found her that Annie is food-aggressive, and cannot be fed in the presence of another dog. The same is true with toys; she is very possessive of them. For this reason, she'd probably do best as an only dog, although she seems to like some (not all) dogs she meets. If you have a second dog and don't mind being vigilant with food and toys, a placement with another dog might be a possibility. Annie couldn't be sweeter with people. The same day I met her, she allowed me to clip her nails, bathe her and check her mouth - no problems with anything. She needs to gain at least 15 pounds, but other than that, she seems healthy. Annie will be spayed on Thursday, and we'll have an update soon. If you think yours is the ideal home for this little doll, please contact us! We look forward to hearing from you.
