10/05/02 - New Pics & Update
His foster Mom writes: You know he never makes a sound when he's awake but in his sleep he sometimes barks. Come to think of it he doesn't snore either. Anyway last night Paul and I heard this really spooky sounds, like someone making high pitched ghost wailing, you know, "woooooooh" very creepy. Turns out it was Homer wailing in his sleep like a wolf. I wondered if he was dreaming of when he was lost in the woods, because puppies wail like that when they are calling out to their mom. Usually it means they are scared or lonely. Poor guy. Here are more pictures of Homer baby. 09/15/02 - Homer was dumped in the parking lot of a supermarket on a 95 degree day he found shade under a parked car. Unfortunately the driver did not see him. Homer survived unharmed and the dog warden came and brought him home. She called rescue because she wanted Homer to have a better life then it looked like he had. Homer is about six years old though he needs to gain a lot of weight is other wise in good health. He is a sweet quiet gentlemen that loves other dogs and animals. The dog warden said he was wonderful with her two year old that crawled all over him. He is unsure about toys but walks well on a leash he heels, sits shakes ,and lies down. Homer is housetrained.
