China is on the mend - Jan. 2002

And she says thank you.

China is an older boxer who never knew the love and kindness that every boxer deserves.

She was removed from her home for cruelty and abuse.  She had been bred every heat for most of her 9 or so years.  Her mammary glands were full of tumors, and her leg was deformed from a painful infection that had gone untreated.

Northeastern Boxer Rescue welcomed China into our care during the holiday season.

We tried to save her leg, but it was too late.  Sadly, China's leg had to be amputated.  We also had her mammary masses removed.  Although the tumors we removed were cancerous, she appears fine now. True to her boxer good-nature, she is a trooper.

China is a happy, gentle dog who appreciates everything we've done for her.   Once she is fully recovered, we will have her spayed and place her in a permanent home.

We need your help so that we can help China.  Much-needed donations are being gratefully accepted.  Funds will go towards China's medical care and recovery.
