"Coca"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 10/8/00 - Hi...My name is Coca, and I am a Boxer/Pit Bull mix. I'm sure you are thinking: "What a pretty dog!", because that is what everyone says about me. Well, stay tuned because I have so many more virtues......I am a lovable huggable dog, who is also very obedient, eager to learn, and very eager to please.

  I rarely misbehave, but when I do, you can just send me to a corner on "time-out", and the frown on my forehead will prove to you that I AM thinking things over. I will not move unless you tell me: "O.K. you can come back now!" ...and I'll be back with my apologetic kisses. But really I haven't often needed "time-out".

  I am only 15 months old, so I love to play, and run. I make friends very easily....dogs, two legged creatures, whether they are old or young, doesn't really matter, I love them all! Somehow I also know that I can't be too rough on the little children, so I am very gentle while playing with them. I just ignore the ones who are scared of me, even though I don't see why they should be.

  I can't promise to guard your house from strangers, because I don't consider anyone harmful enough. But when it comes to squirrels, ooooh, you would be so proud of how I will protect you and your property from those pesky creatures. I need quite a bit of attention and exercise, so you will need to take that time for me. As I mentioned before, I love to run and play. Therefore I require adequate running space.

  Sometimes I manage to entertain myself if I have the right toy. After the playing, I like to cuddle. I will give you a sign when it is time for cuddling. I will just jump in your lap, and slobber you with kisses. I eat well, but never too much. I'm not one of them doggies that never have enough. I prefer to keep it at one meal a day before bed time, or maybe I could be coaxed into two small meals a day (I'd like to keep fit and pretty!)

  I will also give you the peace and quiet to eat when you want to. Only if you are eating fruits or vegetables, then I do recommend you share those with me. Otherwise I will just stare at you waiting until a bite falls out of your mouth. I just love anything from banana's to carrots. Yummie. So, if you promise to be nice to me, share your love, attention and fruits with me, then I promise to give you my unconditional love, share my toys and food with you. Not my doggie donuts though!!!! And please, just keep me for always. I do need a home for ever! You see, my family loves me very much. However, they are moving to another country and I am not allowed there.
