"Daisy"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 6/26/01 - We were recently contact by one of the shelters that sends us Boxers regarding Daisy. This is the information they provided. "Daisy is a 1.5 year old Boston Terrier?? mix that can only go to a rescue because she nipped someone. The circumstances sounded pretty excusable to me.... a person the dog did not know came into the house and started fighting with someone. The dog ran up and nipped him. She is spayed and up to date on shots, about 1.5 years old. She was living with a family of mom and 2 kids. She is good with other dogs, I took her by the cat cages and she didn't seem to be interested in them. Please let me know if there is anything you could do to help this little girl, she is very sweet and not at all a problem."

   

  Daisy has been in foster care now for a few days and is indeed a sweetheart - although she does seem to prefer woman to men. She will run right up to a woman and be very friendly but is standoffish with men until she gets to know them. She is doing well with the other dogs in the foster home and although she would prefer not share attention and toys, she is learning to do so graciously. Daisy weighs 40 pounds but needs to loose a few of them.
