Diamond

Adopted 6/30/02

6/04/02 - Diamond has now been in her current foster home for quite a while, so we have learned lots more about her.  She is a very affectionate girl that is always happy and wiggling.  She loves her walks and has been improving on the leash.   She is cozy on her comforter on the floor, but will usually get on the couch if you are not home. She prefers to sleep in the bed with you, but this is not a big deal, for she stays on her side...so you don't know she is there.

She likes a tennis balls and loves to play tug (what boxer doesn't).   She is non-destructive in the house alone, but does scratch at the door a bit when you leave...nothing a little paint couldn't fix.  When you are home, she is as loyal as they come.  She will stay with you wherever you go in the house.  Peek outside of the show curtain, and she is there waiting.

She is a bit nervous in the car; she starts panting and not relaxed.  We believe that she was rarely in a car up until the time she was surrendered, so she associates the car with being "taken away". She would love a home where people were around a bit more than her foster mom is.  Her foster mom works full time and lives alone - she wishes for Diamond to have more activity in her life.

Diamond will sit and give her paw but only for food. (Smart girl, huh?)  She is very well behaved, loves everyone and deserves only the best home... one that will consider her a family member.  She would probably prefer to be an only dog, as she is a princess that wants to get all the love.

4/21/02 - Diamond was returned to rescue.  Information to follow.

3/29/02 - Diamond was adopted.

3/15/02 - Diamond is a 1 1/2 year old spayed fawn female that came to us from an elderly couple that could no longer care for her.  She is fully housebroken, sweet, well behaved, but needs some brushing up on her basic obedience.  She seems to know what sit means, but doesn't always listen.  She is a large girl, weighing in at 64 lbs.  She would prefer a fenced yard as she is very strong and prefers to walk you rather than the other way around.  She becomes very excited when she sees other dogs, some she likes some she doesn't- but always very excited!  She is great in the house- non destructive.  Unfortunately, she is very stressed in rescue and really needs a home of her own.  She would do great with older children, but no little ones or cats please.  Diamond is very loyal and is missing that special someone to devote herself to.  She loves to cuddle, gives big kisses and boy does that butt wiggle.  Please help us get this girl out of rescue quickly, as she needs to be cozy and loved in her own home.
