5/15/02 - Duke says:  Hi.  I am Duke, and I am a 4 year old, neutered male boxer with natural ears and a docked tail.  I am approximately 60 pounds, up to date on yearly vaccines, and on pro heart 6 (heartworm preventative). 

I have a sad story to tell.  My human dad was diagnosed with cancer and doesn't have long to live.  We are praying for a miracle.  He is much too weak now to care for me, so he called rescue to find me a home that will watch over me for the rest of my life and love me as much as he does.

I miss him but I look forward to finding a forever home.  I am great in the house.  I'm a loving companion.  I am sensitive and obedient.  I like female dogs that are not dominant or hyper (those scare me).  I am good with the baby here at rescue but haven't lived with children before.  A home with older children who could run and play with me would be best.  My previous owner says I probably wouldn't do well with cats, but I have never lived with them either.  I love to go for walks, and I am good on a leash.  I would like to sleep in bed with you and hang out and watch movies, play with toys and chew bones.
