"Elvis"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 7/19/00 - Elvis is a neutered male brindle boxer, 10-12 months old. He weighs 60 lbs, but will probably weigh at least 70lbs when he is at an ideal weight. He is up to date on shots and has been heartworm tested. The haw in his left eye is unpigmented and that is why it appears red and irritated. He was returned to a shelter for being destructive before he was released to boxer rescue. 
  
  He has been living in a foster home with 2 male and 1 female dogs.  He doesn't interact with them much outside, but will play with the female, Rudy, in the house. He has been given free run of the house, and so far he has not damaged anything. He can be alot to handle on the leash initially, but he tires rather quickly. He loves to cuddle, ride in the car, is crate trained, and will sleep anywhere (usually in our bed though). If left unsupervised, he will try to snatch things off the kitchen counter and, of course, we are working on correcting this.
