    Story:
when i was 7 i had a boxer named kirby. Everbody loved kirby.  He was a cute, rough, little puppy. One day when i was eating breakfast before school kirby was walking around and all of the sudden he started choking. Then he throw up his food. dad just woke up when he started slipping all over the floor. he could not stand up straight so kirby layed down. we thought he got some choclate.i was very scared and sad but i had to go to school still. i cried outside i cried when i walked into school my teacher mrs.pendleton saw me crying and asked me why i was crying.i told her about kirby and he was not breathing when i left.i was sad all day finally mom and dad came to pick me up i asked dad if kirby was alright. dad said we'll talk about when we get to the car. when we got there i asked again They told me Kirby died. He got stung by a bee. we drove over to the vet. kirby layed on a table wrapped in a blanket. evreyone said their last words. it was hard to say goodbye to kirby.he got buried in Massachusetts. I miss him and always will love him even now that we have Curtis our new boxer. he's in god's hands now.

Please Note: This in no way takes the place of your Vet's advise, but last week my Brandy suddenly broke out in hives, and was having trouble breathing.  It was most likely a spider bite. It was also a Sunday. The Emergency room vet told me I should have on hand, Benadryl 25 mg tablets.  She said that a normal sized Boxer, if having an allergic reaction to an insect bite, can be given 2 Benadryl tablets, before getting them to the vet.  My vet also concurred with this emergency action.

Brandy is fine now.  I knew about Benadryl, because my husband has bad reactions to bee stings, but I did not know about using it for dogs.
I just thought I should pass this one on.
