Follow Up: Ginger

Hi! We adopted our Ginger girl through The White Boxer Rescue in NJ. We found them through you. Here is the original posting on our girl from your site Ginger .

Gosh what a difference time has made!! I can't even believe with that description that we are talking about the same dog. Ginger is a charmer!! She has calmed down sooo much. She just needed a family who would take the time and let her adjust to new surroundings.

In the beginning she did do the jumping up. And I mean she could really knock the wind right out of you!! It took a good three months for that behavior to really go away. Ginger needed to know that this was her forever home. She still jumps when her Daddy comes in the door, but he encourages it! Now she is just full her boxer hugs and kisses!!

I have never seen her have a problem with another dog, male or female. She does do the typical boxer hugging and growling, but there was never anything mean about it. Give her 1/2 hour to get to know a dog and they are stead fast buddies.

Our house is a busy one with 4 kids, ranging from 14 all the way down to 2, our Ginger girl and a cockatiel! All who coexist quite nicely!

We love our Ginger girl and are so glad we took the time to let her except our love! Pretty soon we may begin our journey on looking for a buddy for our girl!!
