Happy Beginnings and Follow up:  Annie

Well, what can we say -- we love Annie! It was a perfect match from the day we met. We adopted this fawn Boxer mix dog at the end of January '03. (Our official adoption date reads Feb. on Annie's story online.) 

We want to personally thank the people who helped bring Annie to us; the person who rescued her along the highway in NC and her foster care in Maryland. We found her through this very website and she is definitely now in her forever home.

Over the past six months Annie has enriched our lives.  She enjoys keeping us busy! She loves to take walks, play on the beach, hiking and traveling with us, and socializing with other dogs and people. We are even taking her on vacation with us this Summer.

In our care Annie has grown and gained over five pounds. She loves her toys, raw-hides and doesn't mind baths.  Oh, and easily points out where every squirrel in the neighborhood lives...We've taught Annie many new commands and she has been a quick study in dog obedience school.

Annie is a sweet, wonderful friend that makes us laugh every day. We couldn't imagine our lives without her. 

Thank you for bringing us to her, and thanks to all of the foster "angels" that open their homes/hearts to rescue animals every day.
