When we lost our beloved Pit Bull Mix, Ravioli, we thought a part of our hearts died and that we could never love another dog. Not true! Now we know that every time people adopt a new dog, their hearts grows a little bigger.

06/30/03 -Hi everyone,
Cappuccino here. I just wanted to let you know that today I passed all tests for my Canine Good Citizen certificate!
Mommy and I were in 'the zone' -- we did great on each and every test. I gave Mommy a little scare when we had to do 'COME' but since I was PERFECT on every other test, I figured I would take my time on that one. But I did it -- and sat at the end too!
Mommy was so proud of me. She even became a little emotional when the evaluator told us we passed. She keeps calling me the smartest girl in the whole world. No kidding. She takes a while to catch on.
I am living with Mommy and Daddy for almost a year -- can you believe it? They love me sooooo much and always tell me how grateful they are to Dawn Karam and Zori Levine for helping me find a home. They are truly heaven-sent.

Hello from New Jersey!
I am writing (actually my Mommy is writing, I'm just dictating) to tell you how I am doing. You might remember that my former owner could no longer keep me because she was moving into a new apartment. But thanks to Dawn Karam of Scranton Boxer Rescue and Zori Levine of New York Boxer Rescue, I found a great home!
I have a wonderful Mommy and Daddy. They ADORE me! My Mommy and I do some serious female bonding every morning on our L-O-N-G walks. And I'm teaching my Daddy to play fetch. He's not too good at it though...he doesn't understand that fetch is ALWAYS second to finding new smells and sounds and checking them out. I am making some new doggie friends, too and I love to race around the yard with them and teach them how to box.
I have really fun grandparents on BOTH sides (lucky me)! One of my grandpas said that my face looks like I ran into a wall at full speed, and that I need some orthodontic work, but I won him over. How? By LICKING, of course!
Yes, I'm a typical Boxer -- I like to lick everything. My favorite is Mommy, Daddy, or anyone else that happens to be around. But I also enjoy licking myself, the furniture, the walls, and even the air. Sometimes my Mommy tries to sit on the floor and 'read a book.' Well, she pretends to want to do that. But I know that she really wants me to climb on her, put my paws on her shoulders, and lick her face so much that she falls over and can't stop laughing. See, Mommy, you can't fool me. And whenever my Daddy sits in his favorite chair, I know that he really wants me to clean his elbows. Lots of dirty elbows around here.
My new parents are always making up silly names for me and songs about me. Actually, Mommy often sings that old Simon and Garfunkel song "The Boxer" to me, but I really don't get it. Before my time, I guess.
I just want to thank everyone at Northeastern Boxer Rescue for helping me find a new family. I hope every needy dog finds a great home like mine.
Love,
Cappuccino
XOXOXO
