Happy Beginnings and Follow up: 

This is Duke and Dutchess (a pair adopted separately) (shelter released them at different times) on their first play date with their new owners.

They were really cute together, you can tell that they were definitely use to walking together. We had a lot of tail wagging when they first saw one another - then it was a brief sniff-fest, then they just kind of hung out - each doing their own thing, but in a very companionable sort of way. They had much fun in the dog-run, even working together on occasion to herd other dogs. We will be having many future play dates together, so the doggies can visit often. 

The were fine when parting - I wasn't sure if it would be hard for them, but no major reluctance to part or anything.
