"Jake"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 8/01/01 -  Jake is an absolutely beautiful 18 month old, 70 pound, fawn and white neutered male. He has natural ears and a docked tail, a white chest and a little bit of white on his back toes. He knows the basic commands "sit" "stay" and "come". Jake is good alone in the house (no accidents) but is not crate trained. He walks wonderfully on a leash, and in the rare occasion he pulls, if you say "Jake no pull" he will walk nicely at your side again. 

   

  Although he did not live with kids, he has been around them occasionally and has been fine with them. He was very good with the rambunctious 2 and 3 year olds he spent time with over the weekend.  Jake has lived with other dogs and cats and is great with even new cats! He loves his Boxer foster sister. He is also a bit of a toy fiend, and took ALL the toys out of the toy box and brought them into the yard to play with!! 

   

  His ideal home would have another boxer to play with and a fenced yard to run in all day!! We will add pictures as soon as possible. If you are interested in adopting Jake, please fill out our online application and send us an email to Jamie Meadow  Boxers@aol.com!
