This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
06/18/01 - Well, Jeeter has been in foster care for just over 2 weeks now. I must confess, this is one GREAT dog!!! Jeeter is completely housebroken and doing much better in his crate. He loves to cuddle in bed with you at night and he will do his little kidney bean dance for you like no other :) Jeeter continues to do fabulously with the other dogs - absolutely no problems there whatsoever. Though I still believe he is too much for small children, he does very well with teen-agers. He would love to have the companionship of another dog in his new home as he loves to play! He walks much better on his leash now with the help of a Halti and without it, he tends to pull. Jeeter will make a great addition to the right family as he wants nothing more than to please you and smother you with love.
06/2/01- Jeeter is a handsome fawn boxer boy. He is 18 months old and a really sweet guy. Jeeter will be neutered next week, brought up to date on shots and HW tested, at which time he'll be available for adoption. He is fine with his foster brother and sisters and as you can see by the photos, he even likes to play with the resident kitty :) Jeeter did not get a lot of exercise in his previous home and is enjoying running and playing in the back yard with the other boxers. He doesn't appear to like the crate much, but we're working on that slowly. We were told that Jeeter "needed some work" when he came to rescue, but we haven't seen anything other than a happy-go-lucky, fun-loving, young boxer. We would like to see Jeeter go to a home where he can run and play - something he's never had before. A fenced yard and another dog would be a plus! Jeeter is a good size boy and he would do best in a family with teenagers or older. If you're the home for him, please let us know!
