9/08/01 - I am told that Johnson and another boxer (female) belonged to an elderly couple that surrendered them with the request that they be placed together. For unknown reasons, they were separated. Johnson was passed around until he ended up with a young woman that was separated from her husband. She had two sons living with her in an apartment. One of the young boys set the apartment on fire & they all lost their home. Johnson was again passed around for the next month while the woman & her boys stayed with relatives. Recently, the woman reconciled with
her husband & moved back into his home. The day that she brought Johnson to their home, he was attacked by a neighbors German Shepherd. He received a nasty bite wound on his chest. She decided to surrender him that day, in the hopes that he would find a nice home in a stable environment. Johnson is a special needs dog. He is blind. His vision may be restored with cataract surgery. He is a very mild mannered and mellow boy. He wants nothing more than to be near someone. He is patient with children and good with other dogs. He is housebroken and good with cats. He is a wonderful boy that is patiently waiting for his forever family to love him.
