6/23/01 - "Hi, It's me, Kango, again. I have been at my new foster home for almost two weeks now. I am having a blast with new foster brother and sister. I have also met many new people and everyone keeps telling me how handsome I am. My foster mommy keeps grabbing my drooping cheeks and kissing them and telling me that I am the BEST DOG EVER.
I have been in the car many times and LOVE to hang my head out the window and have my cheeks flap in the wind. Although I need to tell you that I love to play the game 'Let's Chase Kango Around the Car" when it's time to get in! But car rides are no problem for me. My foster mommy took me to the vet the other day because she kept asking me why I seemed sore in the back legs. The nice vet checked my hind leg and boy, did that hurt :( My foster moomy told me that she would take good care of me and that we would get my leg fixed in no time..."
We have discovered that Kango has a torn Cruciate Ligament in his back knee.
He will require surgery to repair the tear and is expected to make a full
recovery. Please help us raise money to help this WONDERFUL dog. He is worth
a million ten times over.

her home. Well, I was so tired from my long day that I slept all night and snored so loud that I woke up my foster mom. Over the next few days I got to play in the back with the other dogs and friends from the neighborhood. I have also been playing with all the kids on the block. One five year old thought I was a horse and wanted me to give her a ride - so I did. I love kids. And cats too, did I mention that? My foster mom loves to brag about me and tells everyone who comes over that they must see me. My foster mom keeps telling people I have separation anxiety. She started me on medication to help me with my anxiety. She and my foster dad have also been doing training exercises so that I get used to not having them in the room. I just get so scared that people are going to keep on leaving me!!!! I just keep trying to be good...."
Kango is a SWEET 1 1/2 year old male. He is great with kids - lived with
1 1/2 year old and 4 year old children, good with other dogs and cats. His
health is good, he is neutered, up to date on shots. He is so sweet and
loving, he really is one of the best dogs we have had. He does suffer from
separation anxiety and MUST go to a home that is willing to work with his
training and keep up his medication. He MUST go to a home with other dogs. Having children around would also be great. We would prefer someone who is home most of the day and also have a fenced yard.
Please give this gem of a Boxer his forever home. He is the best and deserves the best.
