"Max"

• 12/16/00 - Please help Max to have a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holiday. He has nowhere to go.  Please don't let him go back to the shelter

• 12/14/00 - Max is a wonderful houseguest with absolutely no issues!  His one criteria is he needs a home with no other dogs!  Won't you please open your home and heart to this great gentleman?  Please email Dawn at  gkaram18@aol.com  or call 570-383-9887 if you can help.

• 11/27/00 - Max found a foster and is now in need of a permanent home. Thanks! 

• 11/19/00 - Max is in urgent need of a foster or permanent home without other dogs.  He is absolutely wonderful, very gentle with all - especially children.  He loves to snuggle on the couch, go for rides and walks.  He would be an extremely easy foster dog - housebroke, crate trained, no bad habits at all!  The perfect house quest.  These pictures don't do him justice, they were taken at the shelter - he is a handsome guy!

• 11/3/00 - Update from Max's foster Mom: "I just saw Max on the web site. He looks so good. I have to tell you, Dawn, this a real special dog. Nothing that we do to him bothers him. I turn him loose in the kennel when I clean his pen, and he runs around. Pays no attention to the other dogs in there, and it's not that he doesn't see them, he does. Just chooses to ignore them, or just give them a sniff. He does walk well on a leash, and sits on command. He still has a little diarrhea, but not bad this morning. I sneaked him a couple of biscuits and he loved them. Vet said he could be anywhere from 6-8 years old or more, but with his sweet spirit, any time spent with him is a gift. He's so gentle, even putting in his eye medicine he never moved. My own dog bit me when I did his eye medicine. I'm praying for a special home for him, one that will love him and give him comfort and friendship for the rest of his days. The vet said his heart sounded fine, so that's a plus. "

   

• 11/01/00 - Here is Max, dog walking dead. He beat the shelter deadline by 2 hrs. He is an old boy but a good ol boy. He is sweet and kind. We are not sure on how he is with other dogs at this time. We just got him into a foster kennel and plan to check him out with other dogs asap. He is a big boy ,traditional cropped and docked. He still has lots of love to give and we were not going to let him die in the shelter where he was dumped 2x.Once for affordability and the other they just didn't want him. This ol boy deserves some respect. If you can reach out and share your life with this Sr. dog please let us know, it will save his life. We will get a better judge on just how old Max is when our vet sees him and will update the site once we find out more..
