ADOPTED 6/11/02

5/30/02 -  Moe spent the day yesterday with Karma and her new mom.  She reports, "He is so sweet and his wonderful disposition towards other dogs is amazing.  My little missy, Karma, tried to go after him twice yesterday, and he just continued to be so lovey-dovey with her.  He clearly loves other dogs.  He followed her around and looked for her constantly, and when he had contact he tapped her gently, kissed her or rubbed against her."  I've seen this behavior in person with Moe.  Even though Karma tried to attack him (we're working on this with her!), he instantly forgave her, didn't let it phase him at all, and just stretched out on the lawn, trying to get her to play with him.

Moe's leash manners are absolutely wonderful.  He hardly ever pulls, and when you remind him, he comes right back and walks at your side.

Karma's mom added, "Also, he did not try to nibble on my hands once.  I was even able to give him a little bath with a cup and a big bucket.  He loved it."

We'd really love a home with another dog for Moe to play with; we think he'd benefit by it tremendously, since he is so tolerant and playful.  Moe is about 10 or 11 months old; he's just a pup, and amazingly well adjusted!  Hope to hear from the perfect home soon.

4/23/02 - Moe  is obviously suffering from an advanced case of WTC (WAY TOO CUTE!!!).  Moe has one blue and one brown eye, and a fawn spot on the tip of his stubby tail - how's that for punctuation?

He's very sweet and friendly, but since he's still a goofy puppy, likes to chew your hands - he'll need some work on this.  He knows down, sit, and (I think) give paw and is bi-lingual.  Moe likes kids, but tiny ones will be bowled over by this guy and his energy level.  He weighs about 55 lbs, is already neutered, and will be updated on shots, etc. by this time tomorrow.  Moe is housetrained, and used to having a fully fenced yard to play in.

There's a good possibility Moe will find a home with one of the pre-approved families we have waiting, but PLEASE don't let this discourage you from applying - if we don't have your application, we can't act on it, and by the time we check your references and arrange a home visit, the dog you originally applied for may be long gone.

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an online application first.  Then e-mail the contact below.  Be sure to include your full name, city, state, and zip code in the subject line of your message.
