"Niko"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 11/03 - Niko was rescued from a kill shelter on the very day he was scheduled to be euthanized. He is still a bit frightened, having been dumped by the humans he trusted and thrust into what must be a scary situation for a small dog. He is skittish around men, but he does respond with happiness and love when someone takes the time to make him feel safe.

  Niko is 17 months old, already neutered and up to date on most shots, with soft longish fur and the face of a little spaniel. He is probably about 20 lbs and is some mixture of Tibetan Spaniel or King Charles spaniel and possibly Chihauhua.
