Otto

Adopted 5/14/02

3/19/02 - Otto is a 65 pound, 5 year old, male neutered brindle boxer. Otto is a very good dog. He is housebroken and crate trained. He sleeps in his own crate at night and when we are away from the house. He knows his basic obedience (when he wants to and isn't too excited)! Otto lives with
two cats and he is very good with them. He has been exposed to other dogs and he gets along very well with just about every dog he meets regardless of breed or sex. He is a very high energy dog that loves to run and play fetch or Frisbee.  He loves to go for walks, but he can't break his slight pulling habit. He is pretty good off leash, but he loves to run a few laps around the yard before coming back.  He is on heartworm and flea and tick preventative all year round.  He is up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, fecals and heartworm tests. Otto is a little cautious when approaching
strangers, but at home, he greets everyone with licks and toys, except children which he just ignores. Otto hasn't ever handled children very well so a home without small children would be perfect for him.  We feel that Otto was abused or threatened by his first owner.  If you approach him too quickly or raise your voice with him, he cowers down and has shown fearful tendencies.
