"Rocco"
This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
8/23/01 - Update. Rocco is wonderful. He gets along well with all dogs, male and female. He has completely surprised us and is also great with the resident kitty in foster care. We feel that Rocco will need a fenced yard to romp in. Although we had been told that Rocco had been around young children, we have noticed that Rocco tends to be shy and reserved when meeting new people. For this reason, we will not be placing him in a home with young children.
7/11/01 - Rocco is a neutered 1 year old male boxer. He is fawn with a black mask and a white chest and white tips on his feet. His ears are natural and tail is docked. Rocco is up to date on shots and on heartworm preventative.
Rocco has been to obedience school and knows the basics, he may need to go again to build that bond with his new owner. He sits on command and gives paw very gently. He does not pull on a leash.
He has been around children as young as 3 all his
life. But has not been around cats. Rocco is getting along very well with his 2 foster sisters.
Rocco was surrendered to rescue because his owner felt that he didn't have the time to devote to a young boxers needs.
We will update his page when we get to know Rocco better in his foster home.
