"Sammy"
This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
8/09/01 - I'd like to introduce our latest visitor, Sammy. He is a small 40 lb, Fawn and White Boxer male, about five or six years old. He's a funny looking boy with closely cropped ears, a docked tail, a few scars, and little nubs where he should have teeth. He is also very under weight, and is enjoying his diet of soft canned dog food, rice, and applesauce. No dry food for those teeth. But despite all that he's apparently been through, Sammy has a wonderful personality, and gets along well with other dogs and everyone so far that he has met. Sammy knows some basic commands, and picked up on his new name within a few hours. We don't know how long he was a stray, so we'll be watching him closely and helping him acclimate to life in a house. He is up to date on shots, Heart worm negative, and was just neutered. We'll keep you updated on his progress.
