"
Simon"
This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.
8/30/01 - This stunning flashing brindle male has a very sad story. Two years ago he was adopted through Boxer Rescue to a man who loved him dearly. Simon was his baby. This kind man had diabetes and his health started to deteriorate. He became blind, as Simon sat by his side all day long. He then lost a foot, Simon continued to sit by his side. The owner's health still deteriorated, until finally the owner took his own life. Simon
knows something is wrong and is stressed, he is having trouble eating
and has little appetite. This boy was very loyal to his owner. Due to his inactivity over the past two years, Simon has become overweight. He needs to lose at least 20 pounds. He did live with a female dog and we will have him with other dogs very shortly. We don't know how he is with cats. He is 3 1/2, housebroken, knows basic commands and is very sweet. he is also great with kids of all ages as this prior owner had many grandchildren who came to visit.
Please consider this sweet gentle guy for his forever home.
