The Sonny Fund

For everyone who has been so kind... we appreciate all the caring notes, donations and true concerns we have received regarding Sonny. Thank you all for contributing to our sweet Sonny. It has helped to make Sonny's chances for a longer life possible. We have made a commitment to help Sonny live the best life possible and we appreciate all of you who have assisted us in our effort. Thank you - thank you - thank you. In honor of Sonny, and everyone who has helped in her fight to recovery, Northeastern Boxer Rescue has established the "Sonny Fund". The purpose of this fund is to help with the cost of Sonny's care, and to help with future special needs dogs in our rescue. We hope that when we have a dog arrive into our rescue that needs urgent medical treatment, we will be able to draw from the "Sonny Fund" and give the dog the medical care that is necessary. It has been quite frustrating to discover that a dog's life can be extended or even saved, yet the cost of veterinary care is the only thing in the way. We hope that by establishing the Sonny Fund, we will be able to supply future dogs arriving into rescue with the vital financial assistance needed to save a rescue dog's life. We will post these "special needs" dogs that arrive into our rescue, along with their stories and medical conditions on the site. 

In recognition of everyone that has helped make Sonny's life an inspiration for future dogs, and for the people that have helped in other equally wonderful ways, we have developed a section called "Hearts of Gold". Please visit this section on our site- you will never believe how many wonderful and caring people there really are.
