Adopted 5/29/02
4/10/02 - Trax is an approximately 2 yr old brindle female who has experienced the harsh side of life. She was found wandering down railroad tracks in Virginia. When she was found she was terribly thin, and so weak she could hardly stand.
After spending 2 months in a shelter in VA, she was transferred to the Sterling Animal Shelter in MA where she was spayed and given a heartworm test. Unfortunately, Trax was heartworm positive, and contracted kennel cough. The shelter treated her heartworm disease, started her on antibiotics for her cough, and then called us to help find her a quiet home to recover.
Trax has been a perfect angel in her foster home. She undoubtedly appreciates being in a home that gives her the love and attention she so rightfully deserves. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and attentive. She has had no problems with her housetraining, and is adjusting quickly to her routine. As you can see by the photos, she is a beautiful Boxer girl with warm eyes and an engaging charm.
Trax will need to be kept quiet for the next 4 weeks while she recovers from the heartworm treatment, and kennel cough. When her recovery is complete, no related health problems are expected.
