"Tucker"

This dog has been adopted but has not yet completed the two week "trial period" in it's new home. We are no long accepting applications or inquiries. Should the placement prove to be a poor fit for dog and/or family, he/she will be moved to the AVAILABLE section on the Available Dogs page.

• 6/18/01 - Tucker is a handsome 2 year old (birthdate 3/3/99) neutered male brindle boxer surrendered to rescue by his owners. He was purchased as a pup in Kansas and recently moved to New York with his military family that was unsuccessful at finding housing that would allow Tucker and his mastiff sister.

   

  Tucker is getting along very well with all of the dogs at his foster home. He has never been around cats and we have no idea how he would be with them. He seems to like all people and has that great boxer wiggle! There were 3 children in his former home; ages 8 months, 7 years and 14 years. We were told he was very good with them all. 

   

  Tucker is crate trained and housebroke. He knows the commands "sit", "go lie down" and "get out of the kitchen". He likes to go for walks and car rides but like most young boxers needs to be reminded not to pull on the leash. He is on the small side for a male boxer - he currently weighs 71 pounds but could stand to loose a couple of them.
