Austin Boxer Rescue: Where and How to Adopt a Boxer

If you’re looking to add a new member to your family, a Boxer is a great choice! They’re silly, super sweet, and just a tiny bit mischievous, which makes for a great combination. They’re a bit weary of strangers and they will protect you and your family, which is why so many people love to have them in their home.

Boxers are adorable with their worried, wrinkled face, and they’re one of the most popular dogs in the country because they’re so full of joy and so loyal. They make fast friends with kids, and even though they’re wary of strangers, they’re not at all aggressive.

Boxers are also high-energy, which means they need to go on walks, they love playing fetch, and they will like agility training and dog sports as well. They’re not super focused when it comes to training, but if you have structure and discipline, they will be the dog of your dreams.

If that’s enough for you and you want to adopt a Boxer ASAP, Austin Boxer Rescue is the right answer. They’re the best in the city and we encourage you to contact Jennifer Pope via phone at 512-968-1343 or via email at when you’re ready to get the adoption process started.

The first step in the Austin Boxer Rescue adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application where you’ll provide your personal information and more.

Next, they’ll review your application and send a volunteer over. The volunteer will contact you so you can schedule a home visit within the week, which has a fee of $25. This home visit fee is non-refundable, but it will be applied to the adoption fee once the process is done.

Once you go ahead with the home visit and they approve your application, you can start meeting Boxers in the Austin Boxer Rescue facilities. The same volunteer who met with you will assist you with the dog meetings. When you find the perfect Boxer for you, you’ll be able to take them home!

As you can see, the adoption process in Austin Boxer Rescue is quite straightforward and you’ll have a Boxer at home in no time. As long as you demonstrate you’ll give the Boxer a good life, you’ll be approved and everything will run smoothly from there.
